Education

Our curriculum has been carefully chosen by the staff to reflect our Christian values and to meet state and national standards of excellence. Our curriculum builds on what kindergarten teachers prefer that rising kindergartners know and uses developmentally appropriate practices. All staff have degrees in education and/or extensive teaching experience. All staff are CPR and first aid certified. The Director and several teachers are also EMAT certified.

4-Year-Old Curriculum: ABC Jesus Loves Me and Saxon's Early Learning Program:

-Recognize and write all uppercase and lower case letters
-Read/write name

-Pre-math concepts
-Recognize opposites and rhyming words
-Integrated history & science

3-Year-Old Curriculum: ABC Jesus Loves Me:

-Basic letter recognition

-Recognize and write first name
-Recite numbers 1 to 10

2-Year-Old Curriculum: ABC Jesus Loves Me

-Introduction of learning concepts through songs, finger plays, books, and games
-Introduction to social situations
-Develop fine motor skills through arts & crafts
-Develop large motor skills through physical education and music
-Following simple instructions
-Taking turns & sharing
-Introduction of colors, numbers, letters

The 4-year-old class has two co-teachers. The 2- and 3-year-old classes both have one lead teacher and one assistant teacher. The current student to teacher ratio in the 4-year-old classroom is 17:2. The current student to teacher ratio in the 3-year-old classroom is 10:2. The current student to teacher ratio in the 2-year-old classroom is 9:2.
